The Owlery

Background information on the various subjects I will be pursuing can be found here. Owls were the birds of wisdom for many milleniae and were seen as knowledgable, cunning, shrewd and humorous. They were also sacred to Athena, the goddess herself.

 Athena

Athena is the goddess of war, craft, wisdom, intelligence and eloquence. She has many epithets, such as Glaukopis (gleaming/shining-eyed one), Pallas and many others (mostly that I’ve forgotten). She shall always be remembered as the clever girl that sprung, fully armed, out of Zeus’ head with an attitude and quite a bit of wisdom. She is, at the least, my favorite Goddess.

Moi

My name is Athena. At least, that’s my name as far as you are concerned. Now, I like insanity, penguins and potatoes. I despise the sheep, seeing as they’ve taken over the world with their wooly tyranny. I also like to read, write, contemplate and wreak havoc upon others. Now have a nice day.
